Education: I graduated from UC Santa Cruz (Go Banana Slugs) in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Minor in Education. I have 15 years of teaching experience (which includes 2 years teaching Kindergarten (this is my 3rd year and how time flies when you are having fun), 10 years teaching 1st grade, one year in 2nd grade, and one year in 4th grade). I have also supported with the roles of Math Coach, Substitute Teacher, and Building/Long Term Substitute. I coached 5th through 8th Girls and Boys Volleyball (which I love)! I have my Provisional Gifted Certification, and am working on my full Endorsement, along with a reading LETRS certification.
Recreation: My hobbies are working out, riding my bicycle around town, camping, playing ukelele, and reading! Someday I hope to learn to crochet and go sightseeing in a hot air balloon!

Communication: Sunrise has implemented email office hours and a curfew to ensure our staff members maintain a healthy work life balance and are fresh coming into work each day. This enables us to give our very best every day at work. Our staff members will check emails Monday - Friday from 7:00 am to 8:30 am and 3:00 - 5:00 pm.
